Founding Letter™
I didn't start You Good Sis?™ because I thought Black women needed another movement.
I started it because I kept seeing the same thing.
Women carrying a lot.
Holding a lot.
Pushing through a lot.
Women everyone depends on.
And I kept hearing the same conversations.
"I'm tired."
"I'm good."
"I got it."
"I want a soft life."
Underneath those words, I often sensed something deeper.
The desire to feel protected, not just respected.
To feel cared for, not just capable.
To feel seen for who we are, not just what we do.
When I first started this journey, the language was Soft. Strong. Seen.™
But the more women I listened to, the more I realized something.
Black women already know how to be strong.
What many of us are searching for is the ability to feel safe.
Safe enough to rest.
Safe enough to be honest.
Safe enough to not carry everything alone.
That's why the movement evolved to Soft. Safe. Seen.™
And that's why I'm inviting women I deeply respect to help shape this conversation.
Not because you're influential.
But because Black women trust you.
My hope is simple:
That together we listen to 10,000 Black women.
That we learn something important.
And that the women coming behind us inherit something more than survival.
What becomes possible when women feel soft, safe, and seen?
